Dr. Christina Engen is a board certified and licensed forensic psychologist practicing throughout the State of Wisconsin.
Dr. Engen earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology through the University of Wisconsin - Madison. As part of degree requirements, she completed three years of clinical training at Mendota Mental Health Institute. Following graduation, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the field of Forensic Psychology. In 2017, she was granted the title of a Forensic Psychology Specialist by the American Board of Forensic Psychology (ABPP). Across her 15 year career, Dr. Engen has conducted several thousand psycholegal evaluations, including competency to proceed (1000+), NGI (300+), and suitability for conditional release (200+), among others. Accordingly, she has ample testimony experience, including at jury trial.
In addition to evaluation, Dr. Engen has been an invited speaker and guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, Marquette Law School, Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, the Department of Corrections, the Annual Special Topics in Competency Evaluation Seminar, and the Wisconsin Sheriffs & Deputy Sheriffs Association annual meeting. She further has experience in program implementation and development in the area of competency restoration/remediation.
